Shinning a Spotlight on Wedding Coordinators!

Being a wedding photographer I’ve had the opportunity to work with a lot of wonderful people. But I felt the need to show some appreciation for the Wedding/Events Coordinator Industry.  This particular industry plays a huge part in a successful Wedding.
My recent experience was with the company Events by Ardeen. From the very beginning of booking they were very detailed, helpful and extremely professional.

When I think of a wedding coordinator, I think of a person who makes sure the bride is stress free and seeing that the day goes smooth. But that’s not all…don’t get me wrong those are some very important things, but there’s so much more to it.
Some of the things I liked that Ms. Ardeen timeline helped me with were:
-The names of all the venders with name telephone number and or address.
-hotel accommodations for the bride
– the music…this allowed me to get to know the couple even more. We all have our favorite song that maybe reminds us of special moments. I listened to some of the songs I wasn’t familiar with and watched some of the videos.
-though usually I have my own agenda for the after wedding family portraits…I was so appreciative that she had a big enough staff that she made sure we got those images but more importantly,  that we didn’t go over into the  bride and grooms personal and intimate portrait time.
Though things happen on special occasions that are sometimes out of man’s control…remember that your wedding day is just that…Yours. Work with someone who sees your vision and who wants your day to be just as special and stress free as you.

So for all you wonderful beautiful brides, I encourage a Wedding coordinator (if it’s within your budget). You will be so extremely happy you did.

Sending all wedding/event planners a wonderful smile, high five and especially an appreciation for all that you do…This spotlight shines bright just for you.

Special thanks to :

The Historic Fourth Ward Park Wedding: Ajay & Cedreon

In the South on a beautiful hot summer day, Cedreon greeted me with her beautiful warm smile while getting her hair styled.  Their day was finally here…with every hair piece, lipstick, or eye shadow she put on it turned her into an even more beautiful bride, I couldn’t help but think of why #LOVEWINS.

When I arrived at the venue Historic Fourth Ward Park, I had a moment with the handsome groom, Ajay.  He’s such a layed back chill kind of guy.  I told him how beautiful Cedreon looked, He said  “Really…you saw her”? The mention of her beauty left him with such a wonderful loving smile. This was love!

Ajay looked to the top of the staircase, at that moment I knew he was Embracing every moment of Cedreon’s beauty. She made it to the bottom of the staircase and her Grandfather gave Ajay his blessing by placing her hand in his.  As Ajay walked her down the aisle, he whispered to her…”you look Beautiful!”

Ajay Embraced the moment!
Ajay Embraced the moment!

Ajay & Cedreon,Thank you for giving me the opportunity to capture your Union. Your wedding day was Beautiful, I pray for many Blessings and continued Love throughout your marriage.  Thank you for letting #lovewin
